I sit here with Dad in this condition and the World Series starting with the Braves playing. It brings back many strong memories of Braves past World Series, all those appearances and playoff runs in the 90s. Sitting in the living room with Dad and Adam. Laying on the floor in front of the heater during the Fall Classic. Mom cooking us up dinner, probably tacos or pasties or spaghetti with meatballs or hamburger helper and a salad. Cheesy potatoes. Running around going wild every time the Braves would do something. Deep into every single pitch. Sporting my Braves jersey and hat or my Deion tee. I could name you every player in those Atlanta lineups, pitching staff, roster. Probably faster than I could rattle off the past Detroit (Go Tigs!) lineups even. Right now I really could give a care less about the result of any game, as it all seems so trivial compared to life now. But I felt that Braves pump surge in for the first pitch transforming us back to the younger days, the better days. And boom, HomeRun! As I sit here filled with different emotions, a deep sadness, gratitude. Thinking how everything circles back, and here the Braves are back in the Series many years later. Whether it be the Yankees or the Indians or the Bluejays or the Twins.. we were always yelling for those Braves. The most fun teams in my book, the timing of it, the 90s. We loved the players on those squads. That was a lot of games, anticipation, nervousness, excitement, disappointment, happiness, lessons, love in that living room with Dad, Coach, Best Bud, Jimbo. What I would do to have a full conversation during the game with my Dad right now as he lays here. There would be plenty of Little League memories during. Yeah the Braves have always had a piece of my heart this way. So here we are. We’re still going here. GO BRAVES! Love, Nate ❤
It’s been over 7+ years since I have had a drink. A drink of alcohol, that is. It’s not about replacing it with something else or replacing the party with a different activity. But it sure does open up time and the mind for positive adventure. It’s not about replacing it though. It’s about actually wanting to stop. If you are ready, you’re ready, right now perhaps. If you’re not, then you’re not.
Today I share with you to give you a push in the right direction. I know a few may need it. Chances are if you have thought about stopping the alcohol consumption, it may be one of the best choices you ever make. I realize many of us come up in a culture where this is the norm, no matter the destruction it causes. The cycle continues, generation to generation, so break the fucking cycle. We were meant for greatness and anything holding us back must be let go. So if you’re here reading this, you may be seeing this post for a reason. I’m here if you want to ask me anything and to give you support.
There was plenty of fun times had and time spent with excellent people. I don’t regret that part of it. Nothing but love for my people. I knew I would stop at some point. Damn we had some wild times, didn’t we? But it didn’t happen until I actually WANTED to stop. No matter how horrible my body felt and the rockstar party hangovers, I had to finally want to stop drinking. I have never once said that I quit. I stopped consuming alcohol and all of a sudden here we are more than 7 years later.
Alcohol does not resonate with my vibrational level. I am growing and striving to achieve better everyday. Alcohol does not match up with that frequency for me in this world. It’s a substance that would hold me back from vibing up, up, up on a level of consciousness and awareness.
FEAR. It’s a word we know all too well. And that’s the word that may be actually holding you back from making the choice you want to make. As far as fear goes, I will be working on a meditation on this for you and me in the coming future. There is a lot of things in childhood that instilled fear in us. And believe me, it’s all bullshit. You can do whatever you want, and YOU do have special talents that need to be put to use and shared on this Earth ball.

Some tough, trying times. Of course there are triggers but, I did not need a drink through any of that. I am grateful for the strength instilled within me and those who have provided me love throughout.
I am on the path to healing. I am also here to help others heal. It is my calling, my path. I must put clean things into my body. I’m working to purify. I am nowhere near perfect. But I do have the strength to keep pushing ahead and improving each day.
